Coconut Shell Accessories
I am so excited about these Distant Village Coconut Shell Accessories! They are a unique way to dress up a package and the recipient too. In today’s post I want to show you some of our ideas for using these fashionable little works of art. When you tie them on your package, they not only serve as the nametag but the lucky person who gets the gift can use them as a fashion statement. Talk about sustainable!
I have used them a couple of ways here – on a wrapped package, a cello bag and a gift bag tie-on. I also made a video to show you how to make the cute cutout wrap above and included the pattern for the flower cutout for you to download.
I tied the card onto the back of the cello bag. It contains information about the product as well as the extra pieces you will need to assemble the art as a wearable accessory. All you have to do is write a greeting on the blank part and you are ready to go.
To make the wrap with the flower cut out you will need the following materials:
- Two colors of Handmade Mulberry Blend Gift Wrap
- Double-sided tape
- The Flower Accessory Tie On
- A sharp craft knife
- Scissors
- Pencil
- Flower cutout pattern (click here to download pdf)
- White card stock
