Also, I use kraft bags only - I would love to use the recycled line, but they are more expensive and with the price of everything going up, you have to watch every penny. Once a month, (or more) we offer special store discounts if people bring in their own bag to make a purchase. Trying to establish a new habit. Recycling, reusing, saving energy, was not even discussed - it just was the way things were done. I can remember every holiday my grandmother carefully unwrapping gifts, smoothing out the paper and ribbon, and saving them for the following year. Going green was called being frugal.
